Tactical Camera Offsets (Bodycam & Helmetcam)

A simple UE4SS script to change your perspective for better immersion.

What this mod does:

This is a basic script that let's you shift your first-person camera to different positions. I made it because the default "neck camera" doesn't really work well if you are trying to get a realistic bodycam or helmet-mounted look.

It adds two distinct modes that you can toggle on the fly.

Controls:

• []F3 — Bodycam Mode: Moves the camera down to chest level. Looks best with a high FOV (110+) and a bodycam reshade.[/]

  []F4 — Helmetcam Mode: Moves the camera up and slightly forward, like an action cam mounted on your helmet.[/]

  []Toggle: Just press the same key again to reset the camera to the default position.[/]

  []F6: Debug dump (check the UE4SS console to see if the script is working).[/]

  Installation:

  • []Make sure you have UE4SS installed (v2. 5. 2 or newer).[/]

    []Download the archive and drop the RoN_Helmet folder into:

    ReadyOrNot/Binaries/Win64/Mods/[/]

    []Open your mods.txt file in the Mods folder and add this line:

    RoN_HelmetCam : 1[/]

    Important Note:

    This mod only moves the camera. It does not show your own head or helmet model. The game is coded to hide the player's head from their own perspective to prevent you from seeing the inside of your own skull. I'm looking for a way to change this, but for now, it's just the POV shift.

    Customization:

    If the camera is too high or too low for your taste, you can change the numbers yourself. Open the scripts/main.lua file and edit the X, Y, and Z values at the top of the script. It's very easy to do.
