MISSION SUMMARY

LSPD are responding to reports of a barricaded active shooter following a fiery rush hour multi-vehicle accident along the I-5 corridor. We are still assessing the situation on the highway, but witnesses have confirmed at least three fatalities including two municipal sanitation workers and postal worker in the Park Bluff neighborhood. A shelter-in-place order has been issued and a reverse 911 alert has been activated for the area. All traffic along Interstate 5 has been shut down until the situation is brought under control.

We've narrowed down the target residence to 54 Darabont Avenue. Our suspect Martin Brenner, a GWOT veteran and sniper team lead, is known to law enforcement from previous disturbances and calls for service going back to 2015 - consider him armed and extremely dangerous.

MISSION SUMMARY

LSPD are responding to a developing situation which appears to be connected to an earlier incident on the highway tonight. Following a mother's suicide questions remains about the welfare of a child at 54 Darabont Avenue.

Information remains fragmented, but we have a reporting party and victim on scene connecting our jumper and the residence. There are indications that multiple individuals, including at least one child, may still be inside the home and exposed to potentially hazardous materials.
