📋 About This Mod
Description
This mod aims to overhaul the in-game night vision's functionality as well as to provide various overlay options for the player. Regarding functionality, this mod attempts to mimic the ability of modern NVGs to automatically adjust to the light exposure levels of the scene, similar to how our eyes will dilate and contract depending in reaction to different light levels. Just like our eyes, however, the NVG tubes will be damaged when exposed to too much light; the auto-gating feature is meant to reduce indirect and overhead lights, not sunlight or a directed light source. Due to the liberal use of shoddy and/or baked lighting in-game, the result won't be perfect, but it's much better than the vanilla night vision experience. I personally am happy with the result, so please enjoy this mod as much as I do! Now if only we could cut power...

Developer Note
This mod isn't completely what I intended to release. I spent a couple dozen hours trying to add the color options seamlessly into the gameplay options menu. I spent way too long trying to add a mild IR flashlight to the NVGs for extra illumination and immersion. There's probably one or two other minor features I forgot about as well. In the end, I couldn't get any of that to work. To put it simply, the way the NVGs are implemented into Ready or Not makes it very difficult to get anything fancy working. Maybe an SDK would make it possible or maybe someone will figure it out in time. Over time, I will attempt to implement the features I had to scrap as time and sanity allows. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
