Doors Max Open Angle (DLC4 - Boiling Point)

IMPORTANT NOTE

This mod affects all doors of every map in the same way .

• []Using higher-degree versions increases the likelihood of doors colliding with, clipping into, or passing through nearby objects and walls. This disruption may not be good for you if you care about gameplay flow / realism / visuals.

  For that reason, I can only recommend using 95 to 120 degrees to minimize this visual problem.[/]

  []Using values below 75 degrees will require you to push the door further with your character’s body it in order to create enough space to pass through, even if you already have fully open the door.

  This results in a poor gameplay experience, so these low angles will not be added.

  Still, the 75 degree version gives you just enough space for the default character model to go through it without bumping with the door.[/]

  ONLY HOST:

  Only the host of the lobby is required to have this mod installed. Every other players will inherit the same functionality.

  MODS INCOMPATIBILITY LIST:

  • []Any mod that alters door data in almost any way will likely be incompatible.

    (This does not include mods that only change the probability of map doors spawning locked or open. This are configured by AI mods)[/]

    LATEST PATCH NOTE:

    Added new angles: 75, 95, 105, 115, 125, 155 and 160 degrees.

    FUTURE:

    • []It is planned a more manageable version that lets you tweak some settings to configure the desired angle degree. This would eliminate the need to restart the game if you normally use different angles.[/]

      []I have in mind, if the previous thing works, to add more functionality and settings.[/]

      []Not planned at the moment, but I have considered creating a version with map-specific door angles, so each map could use the highest possible opening angle without introducing the issues mentioned above.

      The difficulty in here is that some maps share the same door with others thus making it harder to set a good angle.

      Also, doing such thing would take a lot of time to properly test and refine.[/]
