(DISCONTINUED FOR FORSEEABLE FUTURE) Alternative American Voice Lines

TLDR: A mod that replaces the main voice lines of SWAT Judge to feature more aggressive voice lines as well as more realistic callouts.

I am an avid Ready or Not player and I often joke with my friends that we believe that if given the opportunity we would do a better job at the voice lines than the actual voice actors. So here is my attempt. I honestly believe I did a pretty good job and I hope you will think so too.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING UPDATE FROM THE 20TH OF JULY,2025;

You will notice that a bunch of voice lines are missing from the game This is because, since the release of Ready or Not version 1. 0, VOID added about 1900 more lines to SWAT Judge ALONE. I have no desire/capability to continue recording lines to catch up with the latest "Console/Los Suenos Update"

Additionally, VOID has transitioned from a file system that is easy to replace to a "pakchunk" file system that requires significant data mining/updating to make it compatibile with the latest release of the game.

If I simply updated this mod to be compatible with the game I would have to overcome several obstacles;

1. I would have to figure out all the different ways VOID has decided to name/format all the different voicelines. Then update each individual voice line to reflect each change.

2. I would have to extract the pakchunks from the game to uncover what each voiceline has been renamed to in order to figure out how to replace each one

3. I would have to record/duplicate around 600+ additional voicelines to accommodate for the several hundred new voicelines/variations introduced to the game since the 1. 0 release.

TLDR: Without SIGNIFICANT effort on my part. I don't believe it would be worth pursuing any further because I don't believe that you, the end user, would experience enough of the replaced voice lines to make downloading the mod worth it for you. Much less the effort it would require me to update the mod to a usable state.

IF YOU HAVE IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS MOD TRANSITION TO THE NEW SYSTEM I AM CERTAINLY OPEN TO IT. PLEASE DIRECT MESSAGE ME HERE ON THE NEXUS TO PROVIDE METHODS TO TRANSITION THE MOD TO THE LATEST UPDATE

For the next few days (as of the 20th of July, 2025) I will be lurking in various RoN modding discord servers/subreddits for ways to update existing Voice Over mods to the new system. If there is no further correspondence from me within the next few weeks, consider this mod dead and buried.

I WILL NOT AUTHORIZE ANY ATTEMPTS TO MAKE AN AI CLONE OF THIS MOD TO FLESH OUT THE MISSING VOICE LINES IN ORDER TO UPDATE THIS MOD. IF YOU SEE ANYONE DOING THIS, PLEASE SEND ME SCREENSHOTS OF SAID ATTEMPT SO I MAY TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
