Clean Comms (No Profanity or Swearing)

ABOUT THIS MOD

The constant swearing and outbursts from the AI can sometimes break immersion or make the game unsuitable for streaming and shared spaces.

This mod replaces specific voice lines with silent audio files and automatically censors the corresponding profanity in the game's subtitles.

Unlike simply turning the Volume to 0, this mod allows you to keep essential tactical information. You will still hear (and read) callouts regarding suspects, evidence, and compliance.

FEATURES

• []Clean Audio & Subtitles: Mutes specific lines containing "F-bombs," blasphemy (e.g., "Jesus Christ"), and excessive swearing. The text for these words in the subtitles is dynamically replaced with asterisks of the same length (e.g., **).

  []Tactical Focus: Retains all functional gameplay dialogue (reporting suspects, yelling for compliance, announcing entry).

  []Lightweight: Uses the native VO_PC file structure wrapped in a high-priority .pak chunk, modifying only the necessary .ogg audio and .csv subtitle files. It does not delete game files; it just overrides them.

  []UE5 Native: Built using Repak for full compatibility with the Unreal Engine 5. 3 update.

  []No FPS drop: The mod uses 1-second silent .ogg assets and lightweight text edits, meaning zero performance impact.

• []Download the .pak file.

  []Navigate to your Ready or Not installation folder: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks

  []Drag and drop the .pak file into the Paks folder.

  []Launch the game.

Simply delete the .pak file from your Paks folder, and the original voice lines and uncensored subtitles will return immediately.
