📋 About This Mod
Red Dead Radio
Installation:
- Install Alexander Blade's ScriptHookRDR2
- Extract "Red Dead Radio.asi" & "Red Dead Radio" folder in to your Red Dead Redemption 2 game folder (where RDR2.exe is located at)
How to use:
Add . MP3 files in to either of the folders found in "Red Dead Radio" folder.
(there is currently a bug if music isn't found in a folder.
The bug causes the radio wheel to flash. I have provided a music file for each folder though)
If you want to rename your music folder make sure to also rename the path in Red_Dead_Radio.ini file found in
"Red Dead Radio" folder. The "Red Dead Radio" should better not be renamed.
When in-game, you can access Red Dead Radio by riding your horse, a wagon or being in a train.
Keyboard & Mouse: Hold T to open the radio wheel, then use the mouse to select a radio station or turn the
radio off. Press ENTER to skip current track and left/right mouse clicks to adjust the volume.
Controller: Hold RB + X to open the radio wheel, then use the left analog stick to select a radio station or
turn the radio off. Press down the left analog stick to skip current track and use the left/right arrows to
adjust the volume.
Media Player Mode:
If you want to listen to music while being on foot you can enable the "Media player mode". To do
this, open "Red_Dead_Radio.ini" file and set the "media_player_mode" value to "true".
Description:
Red Dead Radio is a mod which adds a functional radio wheel when the player is riding
a horse, driving a wagon or is on a train. This will make it easy listening to music
while riding across the map and kill boredom.
This mod was requested from the Discord user "archer".

Red Dead Radio adds a simple radio wheel with three self-radio stations to Red Dead Redemption 2, letting you play your own MP3 files while riding, driving, or on a train. Controller support is planned but not yet implemented. A niche quality-of-life mod for players who want custom music in the Wild West.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 275 endorsements and nearly 9k downloads

- Simple concept, easy to understand for any RDR2 player
⚠️ Cons
- No controller support yet, so keyboard/mouse only for now
- Only 3 stations might feel limiting if you want variety
