Random Events Mod (REM)

Description

Adds spontaneous encounters into your free roam. As you ride around random events spin up near you: a cougar comes barreling out of the brush, a team of spooked horses tears down the trail with a runaway wagon, a gang strings some poor soul up from a tree, drunks brawl near settlements (at night) and bounty hunters with hounds come looking for trouble, a lone killer silently stalks nearby travelers, murders them and may come after you, an armed gang emerges from the brush, surrounds you and demands your money.

Nothing is forced. Events fire on their own as you explore, each one announced with a subtle on-screen line and a vanilla-style minimap blip so you can choose to ride over and get involved or just keep moving. Everything is controlled from a single in-game menu or via .ini configuration, so you decide which events happen, how often and how close.

Installation Instruction

• []Make sure you've installed ScriptHookRDR2 V2 first (see Requirement).[/]

  []Download this mod and unzip it.[/]

  []Copy RandomEvents.asi and RandomEvents.ini

  into your main Red Dead Redemption 2 game folder - the same folder that contains RDR2.exe and ScriptHookRDR2.dll[/]

  []Launch the game and load into Story Mode.[/]

  []Press F12 (keyboard) or RB + X together (controller) to open the mod menu. That's it - you're ready to go.[/]

RandomEvents.asi,  RandomEvents.ini  from your game folder.

Main Features

Five ambient events that trigger as you roam:

• []Predator Attack - a wild animal ambushes you out in the wilds. (Wolf,  Cougar,  Bear,  Alligator,  Lion)[/]

  []Runaway Wagon - a driverless-looking team of horses bolts down the road hauling a wagon; chase it down if you can.[/]

  []Public Hanging - outlaws drag a captive to a tree and string him up by the neck. Shoot the rope to cut him loose before he chokes, gun down the executioners.[/]

  []Drunken Folk - rowdy drunks stagger around and brawl with each other near settlements (at nighttime).[/]

  []Bounty Hunters - armed hunters and their scent hounds track you down and attack.[/]

  []Roadside Robbery - An armed gang emerges from the brush, surrounds you and demands your money.[/]

  []Serial Killer - A lone killer silently stalks nearby travelers, murders them and may come after you.[/]

[]Toggle ambient events on or off entirely.[/]
