Place both NoHatKnockOff.asi and NoHatKnockOff.ini into your root game directory, where RDR2.exe and PlayRDR2.exe is located. ScriptHookRDR2 or ScriptHookRDR2 V2 is required!
Your hat may still fall off during some missions or events. I have tried fixing this, however was unsuccessful as Rockstar appears to have hard-coded the hat to fall off in some scenarios.
During combat, your hat can get filled with bullet holes pretty quickly. You can install Hat Bullet Hole Remover to prevent your hat from getting filled up with holes. Be aware that said mod will completely disable bullet holes on all hats, which may impact the immersion of RDR2.
