Immersive Dog

A comprehensive dog mod built from the ground up. Initially began as a personal project, but evolved into a feature rich system with breed specific behaviors, advanced AI interactions, and unique mechanics like hat fetching and prey retrieval. The mod focuses on seamless world integration: your companion adapts to combat situations, camp life, and exploration while maintaining persistent appearance and realistic animal behaviors.

Persistent appearance: Dog's coat color/pattern is saved and maintained across game sessions

Consistency: Prevents random color changes that break immersion

               Unique Feature: Dog can drive deer and other prey animals toward your position

Tactical Hunting: Activates when you're aiming at animals: dog flanks and pushes them into your line of sight

Breed Specific: Herding breeds (like shepherds and poodles) excel at this behavior

Smart Positioning: Dog calculates animal movement patterns and positions itself to guide them effectively

Core Mechanic: Dog automatically detects and retrieves small game/birds you've hunted

(exclusive to Poodles and Retriever breeds)

Intelligence: Distinguishes between prey you've killed vs. natural deaths - only fetches your kills

Practical Benefits: Saves time collecting scattered small game, especially birds that fall in hard-to-reach places

Limitations: Won't fetch large game (realistic behavior), has cooldown periods to prevent spam

Universal Retrieval: Dog detects and retrieves any hat you've dropped, regardless of how it was lost

All Situations: Works in any context - combat, exploration, accidents, or intentional drops

No Limitations: Unlike other mechanics, hat fetching has no situational restrictions or cooldowns

To adopt a dog, simply start petting it and press the "Adopt" prompt, then choose his name.

It will be yours forever.

Requires Scripthook (preferably V2), simply put the .asi and the .ini files in your game folder.

Not compatible with Dog Companion. Use one or the other.

This is a beta release, please report bugs (if any) in the bug reports section, that would help polish this project even further.
