📋 About This Mod
Ports the Equine Assistance mechanism (picking herbs from horseback), animations, and pamphlet from Red Dead Online over to single player.
Usage:
-
[]Once installed, plant blips will begin showing up on your map when you are mounted and in the "vicinity" of them (I'm not sure of the exact radius). Go up to the plant you wish and there will be a prompt to pick up the herb from horseback. Once your trusty steed has grabbed them with it's mouth they will give you the items. Each time you will be given a random amount between 1 and 3 of said herb, berry, or mushroom. Only works for herbs, berries, and mushrooms. Not exotics. I might look into adding them in the future.
Notes:
- [
- []Completely replaces the Horse Super Meal pamphlet. If you really want that pamphlet then sorry, don't install the lml portion of it.
- []If you've never natively picked the plant on foot but picked the plant with this mod it will still show "pick and examine" even though the herb is added to your Satchel and Compendium stats. Not sure why this happens (some global stat or something) but it doesn't seem to be an issue. If I can find a fix for it in the future I'll update it. I guess for best use, use if you've done all herbalist challenges which is what I do.
-
[]I've tested this quite thoroughly but if you find a bug of some sorts please submit a bug report.

Version:

- 1. 0. 1 - Second upload with added EquineAssistance.ini to enable or disable herb blips on map. Blips are turned on by default just like how the feature is in RDO. Also tweaked code which should help improve performance/FPS issues.
Ports the Equine Assistance mechanic from Red Dead Online to single player, letting Arthur pick herbs from horseback with matching animations and the pamphlet. A focused quality-of-life mod for RDR2 players who want online convenience offline. With 261 endorsements and recent updates, it's a solid niche addition.
