Watkins Coal Mine

Description

Adds a small coal mine near Bryson behind Appalachian Hardwoods. Unlocks alongside Bryson with optional progression to allow the mine to load company coal hoppers. Useful for those who want to haul a little coal while keeping Bryson as their railroads endpoint, or want to add more coal to their operations. Also useful with car rebilling mods to add a small source of coal to supply various destinations as well as company coal loaders.

Installation instructions

Install via UnityModManager or unzip and place in Railroader's Mods folder

Main features

• []Adds multiple switchbacks with a maximum grade of 2. 4% to reach the fictional mine.[/]

  []Lower and mid contract levels should easily be served with your local Bryson switcher while higher contract levels may need more advanced operations to navigate the switchbacks and grade.[/]

  []Loading behaves like other mines in the base game, with cars being positioned above the mine empty and teleporting to below the mine full if there is enough coal in the mine's inventory and the track is not blocked.[/]

  []A one time investment via milestones unlocks company car coal loading for keeping your coaling towers topped off, though it pulls from the mine's inventory and will result in less contract cars being ordered and filled.[/]

Requirements

Mod was created with Fuse. Fuse is required for it to run.

The mod modifies trackwork behind Appalachian Hardwoods. Any mod that modifies the same trackwork will be incompatible with this mod. This mod does not change the endpoint node of the track that runs along the river behind AH so any mod that continues the track beyond that point may be compatible.
