Rock Island Transfer Caboose

Tired of having to run "a caboose" on the back of your train with one of those old-fashioned looking cupolae?  Sick of not being able to bring maintenance of way equipment with you on the tracks?  Do you just want to grill?

Well, this is the caboose for you!

Modelled after the Rock Island Railroad's 19135 caboose, this type is a great example of the kinds of caboose you'd make for a railroad that was told you need a caboose, but really didn't think you needed something new.  Back in the day you'd get one of these by stripping down an old 40 foot boxcar (or flatcar), and slapping whatever you had around your railroad's shops into something that kept you legal, and was pretty utilitarian.  They'd also give a lot of space for bringing things with you - and to that end, we at Autism Locomotive Works have put together a set of customizations on top of the base Rock Island Caboose.  These are toggleable and absolutely not necessary, but you have:

• []SP-style, colorable gyralights on each end (they have to be manually operated since it's a caboose, not a locomotive/cab car)

  []A grill, to hook up to your kerosene propane tank

• A 20mm Oerlikon cannon, for the protection of the passengers (credit to carlocestra285, who created the model over on CGTrader.)

  I also have two component groups for the base model for the Rock Island liveries, the base red that the Illinois Railway Museum has returned the caboose to, and Bankruptcy Blue, built into the caboose!
