Ride the V&T "vista dome"! Adds the Nevada Copper Belt caboose #3 to the game, complete with a full interior and basic decal options. It is setup in the game as a passenger car and can carry up to 10 passengers.

This caboose - or comboose - was originally built in 1906 for the Hocking Valley Railway, who used this combination caboose in mixed train service between Mason and Wabuska, Ohio. In 1928, the Nevada Copper Belt Railroad purchased this caboose for $1,850. After 19 years of service on the NCB, the railroad was abandoned and the caboose was sold to the Virginia & Truckee in 1947, who marketed riding in the cupola to passengers as their "vista dome" service.

After only 3 years on the V&T, the caboose was purchased by the Nevada Day Committee for display in Carson City where it was initially used as the headquarters for the Carson City Chamber of Commerce, later becoming a walk-through museum. In 1982, the Chamber of Commerce agreed to loan the caboose to the Nevada State Railroad Museum where it was to be restored for public display.

Today, Nevada Copper Belt Caboose #3 remains an integral part of NSRM's collection, spending time both open to the public and being used on tourist trains. For more information and if you wish to donate, please visit: https://www.nsrm-friends.org/index.html
