Better Steam adds proper support and systems for articulated steam locomotives in Railroader, with plans to expand and add more features.
IF THE GAME CRASHES WHEN INSTALLING THIS, IT IS BECAUSE YOU NEED TO UPDATE LIBRARY OF STUFF/UMM
Articulated Steam Locomotives:
- Simple and compound (Or both!)
- Keybind and UI toggle for simpling valves (And support for animation toggles)
- Proper chuff sounds and syncing (Each cylinder set has individual chuffs for simple, or just the low pressure cylinders in compound)
- Brand new water consumption math, with superheating!
- Wheelslip on both driver sets (If an engine has wheelslip, and is customizable!)
- New tractive effort calculations for simple and compound cylinders!
- Purchase menu UI adjustments to show TE/FoA, and information on simple/compound modes!
Support for more options, and more locomotive types, are planned.
