📋 About This Mod
Adds an Iron Ore Mine at McClain (near Almond) for use with my Tuckasegee Steel Works. This mods can provide half the Iron Ore needed for the Steel Works at tier 5.
This mod is free for everyone.
If you enjoy it, you can optionally support my work via the donation button on my Nexus profile or via ko-fi.com/katertje.
This helps offset software costs and allows me to continue spending time on projects like this, ongoing development and user support.
Getting it going:
-
[]Choosing tier. This mod is balanced with Katers Tuckasegee Steel Works. When you set the tier of this mine to the same tier as the Steel Works, it can provide half the needed amount of iron ore. The rest can be brought in via an other mine (like Katers Alarka Iron Mines), or will be automatically delivered at the interchange. Alternatively, you can also set this mine to a higher tier then the steel works. To fully provide the steel works, T5 Mine matches T3 Steel works, T4 mine matches T2 Steel works, T3 mine matches T1 steel works.[/]
[]Buying Jennies. This mod runs as captive freight, so you need to buy ore jennies (HMI type). Set them up with captive freight to Load at McClain Iron Mine - Ore and unload at the HighLine - TSW Blast Furnaces. Don't forget that you can only find these locations in the list when the contracts are active. There are multiple Jennies out that are supported: for a 1950's look, Trowzr's (80t), Tomers(57. 5t) and CoachFreemans (120t) for a more modern look.[/]
[]This mine only works when it is has enough mining supplies and support beams. These will be delivered at the interchange and need to be spotted at the industry. [/]
[]In order to cope better with big consist, I can recommend this mod: Katers Fontana Passing[/]
Installation:
Install this mod with FUSE's installer, RailLoader or Railforge, but not UMM . Or unzip it and move the folder to the mods folder
Standalone: If you do not have the Steel Works installed, this mod will adapt and run standalone. Yennies will then be automatically ordered at the interchange, BUT, you still have to buy and run cars with pine logs as captive freight.
Requirements:

[]C_L_B's ASSETS[/]
