Great Northern X-100Caboose

A HUGE shoutout to Eilelwen for the meat of the model that went into this, and to Jneum16 for help with figuring out some of the performance issues with light handling in the game!

Introducing the X-100/X-181 Branch Line Caboose!  This was a box car conversion made by the Great Northern Railway to test the concept of a baggage caboose for express freight services.  Notably, only the one was ever made, and the Great Northern didn't get any other baggage cabeese.  However, it's a fun prototype and is perfect for anyone who wants to run mixed trains, or just likes a big caboose.  The following are the stats for the car:

  I've also thrown in a ton of customizations for different parts, including flags, customizable markers, as well as modelling the different directions of the seams from the car's different refits where plywood panels were replaced, all of which are toggleable.  Please note, due to limitations of the game, while you can sit in the cupola, the placement of the needed elements means that the roof section can't be crossed, and without changes to the base game this isn't something I can fully address.

  This model also features baked in lighting, so night and day you'll be able to see in the car without any performance hits!

  Requires my trucks pack, baggage loads, and Lego's Better Passenger, as well as the usual base mods.

  Goes great with Lego's Better Cabeese and Eilelwen's Great Northern M-2 - two great tastes, taste great together!

  Note on disappearing cars: this seems to be an issue with saves from before the hotfix back in October of 2025; for whatever reason, certain stock in certain games doesn't save properly, and while I have done a lot of testing, I can't readily recreate it across saves or installations of the game, which leads me to believe this is not a specific glitch that can be accounted for on my end.  While the change to a new version of unity was backwards compatible, this doesn't mean that errors can't happen.  This may also be present on other disappearing cars as well.
