Great Northern M-2 (2-6-8-0)

In 1920 the Great Northern built 35 of these locomotives as a compound locomotive.  The Great Northern never really satisfied with the locomotive as built ran various tests and improvements.  This resulted in all of the locomotives being converted to simple compound locomotives in 1926.

My model of the M-2 represents an appearance that could of been seen in the late 1940s.  I used a variety of plans, photos and brass models to come up with the appearance of model as it exists in game.

This locomotive generates 107,600lbs of tractive effort with a FOA of 3. 6.

It has a base cost of $50,000.

The locomotive has 38 colorable textures.  The Tender has 13 colorable textures and 3 logo options.

Known issues:  The fireman's side ladder into the cab is wonky I have spent literal days trying to solve this and still don't know 100% why it happens.  However to get into the cab from the fireman's side you can go where the ladder should be and jump. You can also go under the cab and the seat will grab you.
