Adds two variations of the Great Northern 40ft Truss-Rod Boxcar to the game in 5 different Great Northern paint scheme variations plus data only versions.

Between 1899 and 1917 the Great Northern purchased 22,666 double sheathed wood boxcars from Haskell & Barker and Western Steel Car & Foundry. Beginning in 1919, these cars began to be cycled through rebuild programs aimed at extending their useable life, repairing damage, and modernizing them with steel frame beams and new ends. The two variations included in this mod represent the rebuilt versions of these cars; one with reinforced wooden ends and one with Murphy steel ends. When rebuilt, these were considered "New" by the Great Northern. Thus, they lasted into the 1950s and could be seen across the country. With such a large number of these cars built, they'll add a nice touch of prototypical, game-era appropriate variety to your Railroader save.
