Baldwin Shortline Liveries for G-16 Mogul with Simulation Enhancement

This mod pack initially stemmed from a personal skin right after Lego's splendid Logos & Decal pack first came about, to depict the G-16 in 'as delivered' olive & aluminium condition. In time people were interested, so I added some things, and then after Fuzzy's Ps4 he encouraged me to release it and did a significant amount of work polishing my work up, and adding his own improvements.

Boiler jackets were traditionally Planished Iron (catch-all term, the earliest ones (19th century) were termed 'Russian Iron' as the metal came from Russia, then an American interpretation using rollers was termed 'American Iron', but by the 20th century it was a generic 'Planished Iron' which gave way to Planished Steel or Polished Steel jackets after 1920). This was because paints at the time could not handle the heat of the boiler jacket, although by the 1910s one began to see some early painted soft-steel jackets. Russian Iron or Planished Iron is often said to have a blue colour, but this is largely from its reflexive nature, which often reflected the sky outside (blue), although the metal often did have a slight blued gunmetal appearance to it. American Iron was said to have a greenish tinge, some of that is again due to primary sources referencing jackets which reflected trees and plants.

This livery includes a toggleable stand-alone jacket, toggleable stand-alone lining (if you want just gold lining say on a default black engine), toggleable stand-alone spot and builder's plates, toggleable class lamp options, whitewalls, early gloss smokebox paint as well as smokebox graphite, and the full "Style 291 Livery" which adds lining, and the base or body colouring and is designed to be paired with all the other options. There are options for cabside lettering or numbering, to fit your preference. Most engines by this time were not named, and this is not intended for such. I am a historian first (and am by career).

Included are several Baldwin Liveries

- Style 291, Olive & Aluminium Lining (probably the most common, this was Baldwin's default livery at the turn of the century, tapering off in the late 1920s or 1930s, although there were still a few turned out this way in the 1940s even.....) offered with planished or painted soft steel jacket.

- Style 291, Olive & Yellow (a variation, one could request yellow paint or for an increased expense gold leaf).

- Style 291, Tuscan & Gold (the Woodward Iron Company for instance used this paintscheme).

- Style 291, Black & Aluminium (some roads adopted black as the 'big roads' often did).

- Olive Green, Unlined (another variant, the East Broad Top and at one point the ET&WNC locos wore this scheme) offered with planished or painted soft steel jacket.

- Faux Baldwin Style, Planished (as locomotives came due for repaints, some roads tried to keep up the green, others substituted black, becoming increasingly common).
