Zombies vs. Animals – Silent Contagion Why do zombies simply ignore the cows in your pen? This mod fixes that behavior: zombies can now attack and kill nearby animals (cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, deer, etc). And there’s a price behind it — meat from an animal killed by a zombie becomes contaminated. Eating it without caution can cause severe food poisoning or even infection with the zombie virus. How it works Zombies near an animal have a chance to attack it, dealing damage per hit. If the animal dies, the carcass is marked as "zombie-contaminated". When butchering this carcass, all resulting meat is contaminated — visually identified in the item name. Eating this meat may cause food poisoning and, depending on the configured severity, infection with the zombie virus. Fully configurable (Sandbox Options) In the "Zombies vs Animals - Silent Contagion" tab: Enable/disable zombie attacks on animals. % damage per zombie hit on animals. Contamination severity: None / Low / Moderate / Severe. Compatibility Works in Singleplayer, Host, and Dedicated Server. Build 42. Installation Subscribe to the mod and enable it in the mod selection screen when creating or loading a world (Mods tab, search for "Zombies vs Animals - Silent Contagion").
