"If there were a quintessential dinosaur out there -- one you'd say, make a logo out of, Apatosaurus would come pretty close. That long neck expanded its feeding envelope to cover vast swathes of land, a must if you have a body that big to maintain. We're talking about a dinosaur that could easily reach 70 feet long and weigh over 20 tons. That's like having a whole herd of elephants rolled into one!" It did have something to set it apart from other sauropods - that neck was heavily buttressed and built like a battering ram, almost as if to deal serious blows to a predator, or a rival Apatosaurus. This animal comes as a kit of pre-posed specimens, heads and bodies for quick herd-building, plus a customizable body, and a set of implied habitat needs for added authenticity. This animal was created before the actual Apatosaurus was added to the game in Update 12, and has been officially retired.
