Ambystoma Maculatum

This map is named after the spotted salamander, a species under family Ambystomatidae. Its eggs form a symbiotic relationship with the algae Chlorrococcum amblystomatis, which provides them with additional oxygen and nutrition, making this salamander the only known photosynthetic vertebrate. It often sports a facial expression of mild anger. A 2-chamber map initially made in one day, then expanded on over the course of a week, based off and featuring mechanics from the Blue Portals mod. For anyone who hasn't played the mod, the puzzle elements used here are explained below: - Cube catcher (upside-down box dropper): Sends an output and closes itself when a cube is placed inside. It can start closed and require an input to open, and if it is opened while a box is inside, said box will be launched out. - Portalable light: A blue-purpleish beam of light that can travel through portals and activate light catchers, functioning basically like a proto-laser. Ice cubes melt on contact with this. - Ice cube: Melts on contact with portalable light. - Green magnet: Suspends objects mid-air.
