-An Introduction to Project Visionary

Project Visionary is a mod which aims to bring back the feeling of when Garden Warfare 2 still was supported by PopCap. This mod includes 30+ new variants along with other improvements and quality of life changes to enhance your experience with the game. Each variant in this mod will include their own unique model once the mod is fully complete as this mod will be released in a beta phase to allow for feedback and public testing.

-New Variants

Like mentioned earlier, this mod includes 30+ new variants. Each regular Garden Warfare 2 class will include 2 new variants, however some will be given extra ones for holidays/events such as Wicked Petals in the Sunflower class. Variants may also be added for later updates or added because they should have been in the original version of GW2 like Delivery Chomper.

These variants also show up in Ops, Flag Of Power, Private Play and the Backyard Battleground. To spawn them on your team in Ops, Just respawn and select them as you would for Torchwood or Hover Goat.

Private Play Changes

Project Visionary makes a lot of changes to Private PLay. To begin with, the mod includes a range of new selection sets such as Legends of the brawl or Mystic Mayhem. It also includes a lot of changes to the base selection sets with them including more variants. Sets such as the Super Brainz set now include all DLC variants along with the legendary variants. Furthermore, some selection sets can have up to 20 players on one team. This is due to the 20v20 support this mod includes.

Ops Changes

This mod also makes some changes to Ops. To begin with, all variants can spawn on all difficulties in ops to allow for a new experience. Along with this, in Graveyard Ops you can now get the new dual boss slots. These are slots which include two bosses and one of them will spawn randomly. For example, one of the dual boss slots is Squash and Big Stump, if you get this slot, one of the two bosses will spawn in the wave.

Backyard Changes

As of the October build of the mod, the backyard will now include some new halloween decorations. These will remain until the next update for the mod. Along with this, heroes now spawn around the backyard. Furthermore, the football(soccer) field has been improved with a new hero crowd. Along with this, I have moved a character booth outside the field too. The progress-o-meter is also back with it being just outside the town hall. All limited time events are also active in this mod.

Character Balance Changes

The mod will also rebalance a few characters. I recommend watching my Dev Diary video to know the balance changes but with each update I will be rebalancing some things to allow for a fresh experience in Garden Warfare 2.

Future Content Updates For The Mod

After the October 26th release, there will be an update on October 31st. This will address some quick issues players find if there is any and will also be adding 1 new character. After this, more updates will be released as the year goes on with a December update including some Christmas themed variants. Expect new characters, rebalances and improvements as time goes on. Keep an eye out to see if any of the new characters are seen in the game early too.
