LoreNarrator Enhanced is an addon for LoreNarrator that expands text-to-speech support in Pillars of Eternity beyond the original interaction-only behavior.

It adds TTS support for standard conversations while trying to preserve the feel of the original dialogue system.

For example, a line such as Tuatanu gives you a broad smile. "Always good to see a friendly face." will use the Narrator voice for the descriptive text and the Male voice for Tuatanu's spoken dialogue. The phonetic dictionary also improves pronunciation of Pillars-specific words such as Dyrwood, Caed Nua, Eothas, Tuatanu, and many others.

Requirements

This mod is an addon and does not work by itself.

Install and configure LoreNarrator first, then install LoreNarrator Enhanced.

Installation

• []Install LoreNarrator and make sure it is working correctly. [/]

  []Install Unity Mod Manager for Pillars of Eternity. [/]

  []Extract the

  LoreNarratorEnhancedfolder into your Unity Mod Manager mods folder. [/]

  []Start the game. [/]

  []Open Unity Mod Manager and configure the Narrator, Male and Female voices. [/]

  []Enable or disable the phonetic dictionary as desired. [/]

Phonetic Dictionary PhoneticDictionary.json contains pronunciation replacements used before text is sent to the TTS engine.

The text displayed in-game is not modified. You can edit this file yourself to add or change pronunciations, then reload the dictionary from the mod settings.

Important

This mod requires the original LoreNarrator mod and does not redistribute or replace it.

LoreNarrator Enhanced only adds additional dialogue processing and voice-routing behavior on top of the existing LoreNarrator setup.
