📋 About This Mod
Removes the -4 penalty to Mechanics when searching for hidden objects out of stealth/scouting mode. It does not change the actual detection difficulty of any hidden object, just makes stealth a non-factor like in Deadfire.
The vanilla game compares your Mechanics score (+1) against the Difficulty level of a hidden object, detecting it if the Difficulty is lower than Mechanics+1 - if you're in stealth/scouting mode. It gives you a -4 penalty to your Mechanics score for detection if you are not in stealth/scouting mode.
The mod removes this -4 penalty to Mechanics only when searching for hidden objects. It does not change the actual detection difficulty of any hidden object, just makes stealth a non-factor, just like in Deadfire.
