All Companion Comments

Description

With this mod installed, all active companions will share any available comments whenever possible. Without this mod installed, some conversations play only a single companion’s comment, even when other companions have comments available. This mod extends some cutscenes to allow all companion comments to play. This mod generally does not limit comments that are repetitive or reorder comments to flow more naturally (for now…).

Installation

Compatibility

If using this mod with my Conversation Fixes mod, install this mod after Conversation Fixes.

This mod should work for all localizations. This mod is compatible with all current versions of my other mods for Pillars of Eternity. This mod can be compatible with other mods that replace or modify Assembly-CSharp.dll, depending on what is modified. If using this mod with any mods installed through Unity Mod Manager, install those mods before this mod using the Assembly installation option.

If you want to try installing this mod on Mac/Linux, I recommend looking at these guides/tools - 1, 2, 3 - though I've received conflicting reports about whether BepInEx and this mod work on those platforms and I can't be much help troubleshooting.

To install

To install BepInEx (if you haven't already installed BepInEx for another mod)

  []Extract the .zip.[/]

  []Open the folder you extracted the .zip to.[/]

  []Move the BepInEx folder into the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity).[/]

To install this mod

• []Create a backup of your game's \PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\conversations\ folder.[/]

  []Download the mod.[/]

  []Extract the mod .zip.[/]

  []Open the folder you extracted the .zip to.[/]

  []Move the BepInEx folder into the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity) and overwrite existing files if prompted.[/]

  []Move the conversations folder into the game's \PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\ folder and overwrite existing files if prompted.[/]

  []Launch the game. If BepInEx and the mod were installed correctly, when hovering the base game icon on the main menu, you should see "+ All Companion Comments" after "Pillars of Eternity - Installed".[/]

To uninstall

  []To uninstall this mod: Remove AllCompanionComments.dll from your game's \BepInEx\plugins folder. Replace the folder and files from step one of installation with your backup.[/]
