# What it does

Every skill costs 0 points, so the whole tree is open, and the mod keeps your loadout alive if the game wipes it.

## Main features

- Zeroes the cost on every skill data asset (USBZSkillData. EquipCost)

- Since Update 3. 9 skills are also charged per tree layer, so that layer cost array gets zeroed too

- Intercepts the skill menu's cost and "can I equip this" checks, so the menu shows 0 and never refuses an equip

- Records the skills you equip, and re-equips them when it notices the list got reset

## Installation

Standard UE4SS install, plus one first-run step: equip your skills by hand once, because the record starts empty.

1. Install UE4SS into PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64\ and enable AllowModsMod in mods.txt

2. Drop the "ZeroSkillCost" folder into PAYDAY3\PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

3. Add "ZeroSkillCost : 1" to Mods\mods.txt

4. Launch the game and pick your skills once

The loadout record is plain text at ue4ss\PD3ModLogs\skill-loadout.txt. Delete it to start over.

Uninstall: set that line to 0, or delete the folder.

## Compatibility

- Needs Update 3. 9 or newer.

- Layer unlock requirements still apply, only the point cost is removed.

- Skill points are still earned normally, you just never spend them.

## Known issues

- Skill points are accounted for on the server, so a free build cannot be written to it. Quitting and relaunching keeps your skills, but if your login drops and the game re-syncs, the free skills get wiped - the mod puts them back after the sync, not instead of it.

- The re-equip uses the same call the skill menu uses when you click a skill, so it behaves exactly like clicking it yourself.

- A first install with an empty record has nothing to restore until you equip something once.

标准 UE4SS 安装，多一步首次操作：先手动点一次技能，因为记录是空的。

1. 先把 UE4SS 装到 PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64\，并启用 mods.txt 里的 AllowModsMod

2. 把 ZeroSkillCost 文件夹放进 PAYDAY3\PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

3. 在 Mods\mods.txt 里加一行：ZeroSkillCost : 1

4. 启动游戏，手动点一次技能

技能记录是纯文本：ue4ss\PD3ModLogs\skill-loadout.txt，删掉即清空。

卸载：那一行改成 0，或者直接删文件夹。

- 需要 Update 3. 9 或更新。

- 层级的解锁条件照旧生效，去掉的只是点数消耗。

- 技能点照常获得，只是永远花不掉。

- 技能点的账在服务器上，免费技能写不进去。关掉游戏再开，技能还在；登录掉线、重新同步，免费技能会被清掉——模组会补回来，但补是在同步之后，不是阻止同步。

- 自动补技能走的是技能界面自己那条"装备"通道，等效于你自己点一下。

- 首次安装时记录是空的，在你点过技能之前没有东西可恢复。
