Tiny Texture Tweaks

Description

I upscaled most the textures in Payday 2. Newer DLC, Masks, Weapons, Cube maps, and Cone lights were all skipped for various reasons. The mod also includes a replaced dock in shadow raid. The original makes no sense and was ugly. The new model has 3% more vertices but much more geometry because the original model was made with inferior software.

How will this affect performance?

It's actually neutral! The performance increase from DXVK-Vulkan equals out with the texture increases for FPS. That being said, expect stuttering when you first get in the main menu, and maps to take a few seconds longer to load.

Installation instructions

Put each file in  steamapps\common\PAYDAY 2\assets\mod_overrides\

Main features

It upscales most Payday 2 Textures, and adds a new dock on Shadow Raid. That dock bothered me so much I made a mod for it then realized I might as well upscale everything. Getting the settings right is 90% of the effort.

Requirements

DXVK: (REQUIRED)

Download the dxvk-2. 7. 1.tar.gz, extract it, and put the file d3d9.dll into your PAYDAY2 Folder.

This is something you should have installed no matter what. It replaces payday's  encoder with Vulkan. It allows Payday 2 to use more VRAM than the 3gb Max it can now. Your game will crash without this.

Install all 3 files: Main, DLC A, and DLC B. I had to split them up for upload. Each is independant, so if something breaks you could choose to only use 2 of the 3 to fix whichever texture broke.
