Doomsday is a large inverted coaster that serves as the foundation of the Thrillpocalypse amusement facility. --- Thrillpocalypse The amusement facility for your dystopian future. In a post-civilized world that has reverted to an oil-fueled, machinery based “new primitivism” society, fun is hard to come by. Everything is dirtier, more grey, just a bit bleaker than society in the early 21st century. Life is cobbled together with odd pieces of metal, wood and whatever scraps can be salvaged. Cutting edge technology is gears and oil – piecemealed machinery looking for a purpose. Seemingly overnight in the middle of the badlands an oasis of sorts sprang up. Sure, it was as inauspicious as all aspects of life were, but it offered escape. An enterprising group of visionaries took those makeshift resources and turned them into amusements. Mechanisms of madness. Instruments of insanity. Great crude beasts of iron, steel and petroleum. Smoke and fire hang in the sky and the hot stench of barely functional machinery permeates the air. It’s a welcomed sight. Denizens travel from far and wide to partake in the daily rituals. The distraction is brief, but sweet. Now it’s your turn to make the journey.
