SmartPause

Finally take a real break without worrying about your base being raided or your character dying. SmartPause introduces an intelligent pausing system that lets you step away from your screen without without returning to a corpse, a raid, or several avoidable workplace incidents.

Features

• []True AFK Pausing: Open any enabled menu to completely pause the single-player world. By default, the ESC menu is enabled, letting you step away with everything safely frozen in time.

  []Configurable Menu Pausing: Choose whether the Inventory, Party, Technology, Palpedia, Missions, and Guild pages pause the game. Leave them disabled to keep crafting, incubation, and base automation running while you browse.

  []Combat-Aware Logic:  By default, SmartPause will pause even during combat. If you prefer menus to remain live while enemies are alerted, set

  AllowPauseDuringCombat = falsein

  Scripts/config.luaWhen combat blocks pausing, the menu displays “Cannot pause: enemies alerted.”

  []Configurable Combat Warnings: Choose whether the warning appears once or repeats at a real-time interval while a supported menu remains open.

  []Stable and Lightweight: SmartPause efficiently detects supported menus, handles Palworld rebuilding its UI, and avoids brief unpauses during menu transitions.[/]

  • []Multiplayer: This mod does not currently work in Multiplayer, it is specifically disabled for servers.[/]

    Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\SmartPause\Scripts\config.lua(Location may vary depending on your storefront of choice - I have the game on Steam)

    This is where you can change which menus can pause the game, and whether or not combat disables pausing.[/]

  Installation

  1. Download and install required mod

  2-v1 - Mod Manager of your choice: Click Mod Manager Download and enable the mods as required.

  2-v2 - Manual Install: Place the included Mods folder in :"steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\"

  fixes any config resetting.

  The mod no longer ships with a config file, it is generated on first launch.

  When the mod updates:
