What it does

Lovander Ryu is introduced to the game as a wild Pal on the Tropical Island (Sealed Realm of Terraria's entrance), to The World Tree, and as a Level 43 boss (Steppe Hunter Bride Lovander Ryu) by the volcano's beach, along an Alpha Direhowl (a double battle, similar to Lyleen and Lyleen Noct). The boss fight will also reward you with a new, exclusive Bounty Token that makes your Dragon-type Pals stronger.

Alternatively, use the Breeding Farm and pair the original Lovander with any of the following partners: Astegon, Blazamut Ryu, Direhowl, Leezpunk or Leezpunk Ignis. Lovander + Lovander Ryu will also work, and pairing Lovander Ryu with any of the previously mentioned Pals, or with another Lovander Ryu, also creates Lovander Ryu eggs.

The mod has been tested for weeks and follows PocketPair's official conventions, so Lovander Ryu should feel like any official variant Pal in the game: a new type, different Suitabilities and slightly stronger than the original.

🔹 A completely unique Dragon-type Lovander variant that exists alongside the normal Lovander.

🔹 Lovander Ryu has slightly better stats compared to Lovander, and is an offense-oriented Pal instead of a defensive one.

🔹 Lovander Ryu has a unique move pool that includes Dragon and Fire-type Active Skills.

🔹 Lovander Ryu is a nocturnal Pal despite not being a Dark-type, so they don't need to sleep.

🔹 Lovander Ryu's Work Suitabilities are the following: Kindling 3, Handiwork 3, Medicine Production 3, Mining 2 and Transporting 2. Kindling is new to the family, and she even breathes fire when cooking or smelting!

🔹 The Partner Skill, Lovebombing, has two effects! The first is the same as Lovander's life steal, restoring Health based on the damage dealt.

🔹 The second Partner Skill effect is the same as Grintale's, granting a chance of getting 2 eggs whenever you pick an egg, including eggs from the Breeding Farm.

🔹 Catching/defeating the Steppe Hunter Bride Level 43 boss (or the Alpha Direhowl) rewards the Lovander Ryu Bounty Token, that makes Dragon-type Pals stronger. Its efficiency is the same as the Astegon Bounty Token, and their effect does stack.

🔹 Every wild Lovander Ryu comes with the Passive Skill Blood of the Dragon, while the boss has both Philanthropist and Blood of the Dragon.

🔹 Uninstalling the mod while you still own a Lovander Ryu replaces them with a generic NPC placeholder that is invisible and can't fight or work. Nothing else is affected, and reinstalling the mod brings Lovander Ryu back with their original stats.

Lovander Ryu's steppe theme and color palette are based of my xaela au ra (dragon girl) from Final Fantasy XIV. Her black hair was turned into Lovander's comb. Red eyeliner and golden slit eyes are also applied the same way. Indigo blue scales and horns turned into her body's color. The red heart represents the Paramour's Pendant. The retexture itself was made by hand using Adobe Photoshop. To get color shading right and translate it well to Palworld colors, I've used Caprity Noct, Hoodle, Snock and others as reference. Original assets belongs to PocketPair.

Localization was mostly made by splicing official PocketPair L10N texts from all languages, with some manual translations here and there. I actually do understand most Latin based la
