Outfitswapper

Description

OutfitSwapper is a client-side UE4SS mod for Palworld that lets you swap between custom character mesh paks and vanilla at runtime:  no need to delete or juggle pak files. Cycle through your converted outfits with hotkeys, toggle back to vanilla instantly, and keep playing on any server.

Visual changes are local only: other players will not see your swapped outfit. Most community outfit replacers must be converted first with the bundled Python tool (convert_outfit_pak.py), which turns standard _P override paks into additive, toggle-ready paks for this mod.

Installation instructions

1. Install UE4SS

Install UE4SS into your Palworld folder (Pal/Binaries/Win64/). See the UE4SS docs if you have not set it up yet.

2. Install OutfitSwapper

Extract the OutfitSwapper folder to:

Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/OutfitSwapper/

3. Enable the mod

Open Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/mods.txt and change:

OutfitSwapper : 0

OutfitSwapper : 1

4. Convert your outfit paks

Extract the utility, download the repak executables, and run:

python convert_outfit_pak.py -i "path\to\YourMod_P.pak"Add the generated registry entry to outfits.lua (or use the -u flag to auto-update). Place the output ZZZ_Outfit_P.pak in Pal/Content/Paks/~mods/

5. Launch and play

Start Palworld, enter a world, and use the hotkeys below. Check UE4SS.log for lines if something does not load.

Known issues:

• []Slow application on first world entry.[/]

  []Vanilla mesh can be briefly visible when opening the inventory: Flashing models when opening the inventory: Different paks may use different architecture to pack models, materials, and textures, affecting the application process; if you briefly see the vanilla model before the custom mesh applies, the custom mesh may need a little more time to load. • []Runtime outfit cycling:  Switch between registered outfits without restarting or removing paks.[/]

  []Vanilla toggle:  Restore original meshes instantly (default key: 9)[/]

  []Outfit and head targets:  Supports body/outfit mesh mods and full-character-on-head mods[/]

  []Pak converter included:  Converts most community _P outfit/head replacers into OutfitSwapper-ready additive paks; auto-detects outfit vs. head, legacy full-body mods, and multi-character switcher paks[/]

  []Drift watchdog:  Background re-sync if meshes drift back to vanilla after equipment changes or respawns[/]
