📋 About This Mod
Allows you to open and close ALL doors in your base at once, while still retaining the ability to open and close them individually.
BaseDoorControl
One key opens or closes every door in your base.
Walking a Pal train through four doorways means four interact prompts. This mod puts all of them on one key. Every door in the base camp you are standing in opens or closes at once, and each door still works by hand exactly as it did before.
You can also pin individual doors so the group keys leave them alone — for example a gateway you want to keep open while the rest of the base shuts.
Keys
-
[]F6 — Toggle. If most doors are open it shuts them all; otherwise it opens them all (skips pinned doors).[/]
[]F7 — Open every door (skips pinned doors).[/]
[]F9 — Close every door (skips pinned doors).[/]
[]F4 — Pin / unpin the door you are looking at. Pins the door in its current open or closed state. Does not open or close it; use the game’s normal interact key for that. Press F4 again on the same door to unpin.[/]
[]F10 — Write door details to UE4SS.log (for bug reports only).[/]
Requirements
- []Okaetsu’s experimental RE-UE4SS build for Palworld (the one with a ue4ss\ subfolder). Stock UE4SS v3. 0. 1 has a flat layout and will not load this mod.[/]
-
[]Open steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64.[/]
[]Confirm there is a ue4ss folder with a Mods folder inside it. If not, install RE-UE4SS first and launch the game once.[/]
[]Drop the BaseDoorControl folder from the zip into ue4ss\Mods\.[/]
[]Start the game, load your save, stand in your base and press F6.[/]
To uninstall, delete the BaseDoorControl folder. Nothing is written to your save. Pins are stored only in Scripts\pins.txt next to the config.
Changing the keys
Open Scripts\config.lua in Notepad. The hotkeys are at the top of the file:
ToggleKey = "F6",
OpenKey = "F7",
CloseKey = "F9",
DiagnosticKey = "F10",
PinKey = "F4",Put a different name in the quotes, save, restart the game. Valid key names are listed at the bottom of that file (letters, digits, numpad, F1–F12, HOME, PAGE_UP, TILDE, etc.). Capitalisation does not matter.
Turn an action off with nil (no quotes), e.g. OpenKey = nil.
For CTRL, ALT or SHIFT:
ToggleKey = "D",
ToggleModifiers = { "CONTROL" },If a key does nothing, check ue4ss\UE4SS.log. On startup the mod logs what it bound and any key that was misspelled or already taken.
Pinning
Look at a door and press F4. That door is locked in its current state; F6 / F7 / F9 will skip it. Open or close it yourself with the normal interact key whenever you want — the pin only blocks the group keys. Press F4 again on the same door to unpin.
Pins are remembered between sessions in pins.txt. Delete a line in that file to unpin one door, or delete the file to clear all pins.
Which doors it acts on
Inside a base camp, it acts on every door belonging to that base (including ones you cannot see). Outside a base it falls back to base doors within about 80 m. World buildings, dungeons and Syndicate camps are left alone unless you change the settings. Range and filters are in config.lua.
Doors only exist while that part of the map is loaded, so this affects the base you are at, not every base you own.
Multiplayer
Single-player and hosting co-op work normally.
As a client on someone else’s dedicated server: door state belongs to the server, and clients cannot ask it to open doors. The mod changes doors on your screen only. Other players see them unchanged. If a door looks different to you than to the server, the first interact may only resync; the second behaves normally.
Compatibility
Only door state is read and written, so it should not conflict with unrelated mods. Watch hotkeys: if another UE4SS mod already uses F4, F6, F7, F9 or F10, change this mod’s keys in config.lua.
Bug reports
Press F10 in game, then attach Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.log. That log includes the door diagnostics needed when a game patch breaks something.
