Mercy Toggle Non-lethal "Mercy Hit" from your inventory — for you and your Pal, no equip required, DoT-safe What it does Pal Tamer's Glasses and the Ring of Mercy both grant the non-lethal "Mercy Hit" effect, but only while equipped in an accessory slot. This mod lets you toggle that same effect on/off with a key press as long as either item is somewhere in your inventory — no accessory slot spent. The toggle also covers the Pal you have out, whether it's fighting beside you or you're riding it, so your partner stops leaving you with nothing to catch. It also fixes a native bug: poison and burn damage-over-time can normally still kill a Pal even while Mercy Hit is active. This mod patches that so DoT respects the mercy effect too. Pals with the Mercy Hit talent A Pal that rolled Mercy Hit as one of its own talents can never finish anything off — great while you're catching, useless when you actually want something dead. This mod puts that Pal under the same toggle: turn mercy off and it fights normally again, turn it back on and its talent works as usual. You don't even need a ring or glasses for this — having such a Pal out is enough to use the toggle. Nothing is changed on the Pal itself. Its talent list is untouched and stays exactly as it was, however you leave the toggle. Everything is server-authoritative and scoped only to you — other players without the toggle enabled can still take the same Pal down normally. Controls F2 (default) — toggle mercy on/off. Works when you're carrying Pal Tamer's Glasses or the Ring of Mercy, or when the Pal you have out has the Mercy Hit talent. Prefer a different key? Every key this mod uses can be rebound by editing Aetherion.ini in your Palworld save folder (Pal\Saved\Aetherion) — the new key takes effect the next time you launch the game.
