Custom Technology Tree This mod changes the way that technology is unlocked. Instead of being a level-based system, now it's a branching and occasionally combining tree. There are no level limits here. If you have the pre-requisites, then you can immediately unlock a technology. Your only limits are your available resources and technology points. Features It's an entire tech tree. Unlocking items on the tree makes the next set available to you. Search is functional, and builds the entire tree that an item requires. The cost of technologies hasn't changed a bit, however. I hope you're prepared to hunt for tech points. Why? Modding isn't about why, it's about why not! I just don't like being level limited. Multiplayer? It should now actually work in multiplayer. At the very least, I have tested it inside of a dedicated server, and it works. Both the server and the all clients require the mod. I'm still waiting on feedback for multiplayer, so please feel free to chime in with your experiences. Save safe? Yes. The mod doesn't modify any of your save data. While it is active, the only thing it does is set the level requirement of every technology to 1, and hijack the normal technology screen for this replacement. If you've unlocked technology that is higher than your level, nothing bad actually happens to your save. Compatibility? Check this out. This mod is made with the intention that other mods would be able to add onto it, remove from it, overwrite it, or whatever. If a technology exists that isn't on the tree, it automatically falls back into a 'uncategorised' category for safety. Claude Code Disclosure This mod was built mostly by Claude. It was tested extensively by myself, and represents now about forty six hours of work. I won't say it's perfect, but I've done my best to make sure it's functional and effective. Feedback I would greatly appreciate it at this point. I'm one person, and I don't have the time to bug hunt and find every possible edge case on my own.
