Pause the game - UE4SS Blueprints

Customizable keybind to pause the game.

Press the "F3" button on your keyboard to pause the game.

Customizatizon

Ignore this portion if you don't care about customization.

Steam

Navigate to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows\". Easy way to go there is to paste this in Windows Explorer's address bar and then press enter.

Gamepass

Navigate to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\Config\WinGDK\". Easy way to go there is to paste this in Windows Explorer's address bar and then press enter.

Once you're there open the file named "Engine.ini" with a text editor like Notepad and paste these lines in it:

[/Game/Mods/Pause/ModActor. ModActor_C]

PauseKey=F3

All of them should work theoretically, at least the keyboard and the gamepad keys should work for sure.

Don't use the same key that the game uses to open the menu (e.g. the Escape button) because the mod won't work properly.

Installation

Download UE4SS. You can find the download link when you scroll all the way down. The file you should download should look something like "UE4SS_v3. 0. 1-416-g4a88719.zip". The numbers might change since the experimental version of UE4SS is updated frequently.

To install UE4SS you need to extract its .zip archive and then go to where your game is installed and navigate to this path: \Pal\Binaries\Win64.

Drop the file dwmapi.dll from the archive in there so that it look like this:

\Pal\Binaries\Win64\dwmapi.dll

To install the ue4ss folder from the archive you have two options:

Old layout:

Go to where your game is installed and navigate to \Pal\Binaries\Win64\. Drop the ue4ss folder in there so that it looks like this:

\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss

New layout:

Go to where your game is installed and drop the ue4ss folder there (essentially into the root folder of your game's installation). In the end it should look like this:

\Pal\ue4ss

Download the variant of the mod corresponding to your game (steam/gamepass) and extract its .zip file.

Go to where your game is installed and navigate to \Pal\Content\Paks.

Make a new folder named "LogicMods" in here if you don't have one already.

Drop Pause.pak for steam and Pause.pak/Pause.ucas/Pause.utoc for gamepass from the .zip archive in here.

In the end it should look like this for the Steam version of the game: \Pal\Content\Paks\LogicMods\Pause.pak

The paths might be different for the gamepass version of the game.
