Better Viewing Cages

Viewing cages are useful for overflow pal storage, but once you fill some cages your FPS will generally slow to a crawl. This mod disables the pal models that your viewing cages spawn in the world, while still allowing you to deposit pals inside them. This essentially turns cages into pal chests.

Merchants will stay loaded by default, so you can still hold them prisoner for trading purposes.

Viewing cage walls now have disabled collision, so you can walk inside them to trade with your enslaved merchants. Merchants will still wander inside the general area of the viewing cages.

Works in Singleplayer, untested in Multiplayer, DISABLED ON DEDICATED SERVERS

Manual installation:

• []Install the latest version of UE4SS from GitHub
  • []Download the latest .zip file from this mod and extract it, then merge the new "Pal" folder with your "Palworld\Pal" folder

    BetterViewingCages.pak should be inside "Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\LogicMods\"

    The "BetterViewingCages\Scripts\" folder should be inside "Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods"

    Configuration (optional; check the config.lua file):

    keepMerchants - If true, will exclude merchants from the hide function.

    isDisabledCageCollision - If true, allows the player to pass through viewing cage walls. (Helps to access captured merchant NPCs)

    showFirstSlot - If true, always show the pal in slot 1 of each cage
