📋 About This Mod
Analog wheel and pedal input, optional MOZA R5 force feedback, saved button bindings and EN/RU/ES settings. R5/SR-P Lite physically tested; other DirectInput devices support experimental calibrated input only.
Pacific Drive — Native Wheel & Force Feedback Support
Drive with analog steering, throttle and an independent brake pedal. Includes
speed-dependent force feedback, cockpit wheel synchronization, saved button
bindings and an English / Russian / Spanish settings menu.
Compatibility — read before downloading
Physically tested: MOZA R5 at 900 degrees with SR-P Lite throttle/brake,
Steam Pacific Drive build 21896301, UE4SS 3. 0. 1, Windows x64.
Other DirectInput wheels and separate pedal units can be selected and calibrated
for experimental analog input. They have not been physically tested.
Force feedback is available only for MOZA R5 on the X steering axis.
Other stores, game builds and combinations with other mods are untested.
Features
• Analog steering and separate gas/brake input; braking never selects reverse.
• D selects the forward driving gear, R selects reverse, P selects gearbox park.
• Physical/cockpit steering synchronization with configurable rotation range.
• Speed-dependent centering/damping, road texture, large bumps and collisions.
• Saved wheel-button/key bindings for D/P/R, wipers, headlights, engine, radio,
input, FFB and settings. Hold to start the engine, press once to stop.
• English by default, with saved Russian and Spanish language selection.
• Device selectors, automatic axis learning, measured endpoints, steering
inversion, separate pedal unit selection and persistent calibration.
Requirements
UE4SS v3. 0. 1,
specifically UE4SS_v3. 0. 1.zip, and the
Microsoft Visual C++ v14 x64 runtime.
Dependencies are downloaded separately.
Manual installation
1. Close the game. Install the loader in PenDriverPro/Binaries/Win64.
2. Use the tested UE4SS-settings.ini values:
General: EnableHotReloadSystem = 0, bUseUObjectArrayCache = false.
Debug: ConsoleEnabled = 0, GuiConsoleEnabled = 0, GuiConsoleVisible = 0.
Edit each existing setting individually; preserve unrelated values.
3. Extract Mods/PacificDriveWheel into Win64/Mods.
4. Add/update one line in Mods/mods.txt: PacificDriveWheel : 1
Keep other mods' entries. The archive does not replace your mods.txt.
5. For the R5 preset, set Pit House to 900 degrees. Launch via Steam and load a save.
Full English, Spanish and Russian instructions are included.
Controls
Ctrl+F10 — toggle input; starts OFF.
Ctrl+F7 — toggle FFB; starts OFF on every launch.
Ctrl+D / Ctrl+R / Ctrl+P — forward gear / reverse gear / park below 2 km/h.
Ctrl+F6 — settings. Assign wheel buttons or unused keyboard combinations.
Car actions require wheel input enabled and the player seated in the car.
On foot, use normal controls. Settings temporarily pause gameplay.
Wheel and pedal calibration
The R5 preset requires no recalibration. For another device/axis, open Wheel and
pedal axes and select devices. Steering: Calibrate, center, Start, turn to both
stops, return to center, Finish. Pedals: Calibrate, release both, Start, press
only the chosen pedal fully, release, Finish. Set the physical rotation range to
match your wheel software. Save and close. Uncalibrated or disconnected devices
do not produce driving input.
Profiles and updating
Bindings, language, devices and calibration are stored in the user's
Local AppData/PacificDriveWheel/bindings.ini. Close the game before updates and
replace only the mod folder. Updates do not overwrite the per-user profile.
Force feedback and limitations
Ordinary centering/texture: up to 10% nominal driver gain. Bump/collision pulses
and all effects combined: up to 15%. Actual feel also depends on Pit House.
No sustained centering at rest; a moving collision can finish a brief pulse after
the car stops. This is approximate feedback, not simulation-grade tire torque.
R is a mod driving direction: the stock indicator may still show Drive.
Force strengths are not adjustable. Other-base FFB is not included. After an
output/device fault, manually enable FFB again after reconnecting.
Keyboard bindings may trigger stock actions too; choose unused combinations.
Uninstall
Close the game, remove Mods/PacificDriveWheel and its mods.txt entry. The profile
is kept. Remove the loader separately only when no other mods need it.
