Untrack Quest

Adds a hotkey to untrack the active quest; F12 by default.

Installing

• []Install UE4SS.

  []I made this and tested it with the experimental release v3. 0. 1-632-gb734711. It will not work on the stable release, and other versions are untested.

  []The short version, is just extract so the UE4SS folder and wrapper DLL (dwmapi.dll) wind up in the same folder as the game's `Win64-Shipping.exe`.

  []Extract this to the game's root folder. The folder structure in the zip should partially match what you have already. (If unsure, use your brain and find where the zip paths and the game's paths intersect.)

  Configuration

  Edit the json file. (Use https://jsonlint.com/ to validate your file/edits if needed.)

  If the json file is not present, it will be created on load (game launch).

  THE FILE IS ONLY READ ON LOAD!!!

  • []Change the keycode value to whatever key you want. See this UE4SS source file for the valid keycodes that are available.

    []Modifier keys are not available at the moment, just a single keypress.

    []The json requires the number to be in base-10. Base-16 numbers (e.g. 0x7B) are considered a syntax error.

  • No, the UE4SS system doesn't seem to handle joystick buttons, and I have no intention of re-inventing one. Just bind something to F12 or whatever key you want.

    Uninstalling

    Nothing special.

    Troubleshooting

    As this is loaded by UE4SS, this also writes to the UE4SS log. (Octopath_Traveler0\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.log)

    Check that file for something like the following:

    Initializing v1. 0.

    Config JSON path: O:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Octopath_Traveler0\Octopath_Traveler0\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\Untrack Active Quest\dlls\main.json

    If the config file does not exist, it will be created during initialization.

    Read key `F12` from the config.

    Config saved.

    Keydown event created for key: F12

    ..............

    F12 pressed, clearing the quest.
