Higher Building Limits

This effectively removes the limit on both the individual buildings and the town total.

• []For any individual building who's build limit was >1, it is now 999 (which the UI doesn't even show anymore).

  []The town total limit is now set to a flat 9999 across all town levels and systems. (Fun fact: The data actually defines different limits for 'PC', 'WinGDK', 'XSX', 'Switch1', 'Switch2', 'PS4', 'PS5'.... Not that this means much since a mod like this isn't going to work on a different platform anyways.)

  Installing

  • []Install UE4SS.

    []I made this and tested it with the experimental release v3. 0. 1-632-gb734711. It will not work on the stable release, and other versions are untested.

    []The short version, is just extract so the UE4SS folder and wrapper DLL (dwmapi.dll) wind up in the same folder as the game's `Win64-Shipping.exe`.

    [*]Extract this to the game's root folder. The folder structure in the zip should partially match what you have already. (If unsure, use your brain and find where the zip paths and the game's paths intersect.)

    Uninstalling

    I haven't tested what happens if you have things built over the limit and remove this. YMMV.

    Troubleshooting

    As this is loaded by UE4SS, this also writes to the UE4SS log. (Octopath_Traveler0\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.log)

    Check that file for something like the following:

    Initializing building limits v1. 0.

    Found 206 building limits.

    Modified limits of 19 buildings.

    Initializing town level limits v1. 0.

    Found 9 town level limits.

    Modified limits of 9 town levels.
