📋 About This Mod

A UE4SS framework to give specific references spells and items via .ini files.

Mod Overview

Do not get your hopes up. This is a very, very poor man's SPID. Like I'm talking very impoverished, Brenuin levels of poor. But it works, kinda.

This UE4SS framework lets you distribute spells and items to specific References through .ini files.

  • []It adds the item/spells to the references after a loading screen. Spells and Items will not be added if the Reference already has them.

[]If you set onlyAddOncePerSession = true in "main.lua", it will only do this once per session. I haven't tested that too much, so it's set to false by default. (I could imagine that if onlyAddOncePerSession is set to true, non-persistent references may not get the spells/items. Needs more testing).

Behind the scenes, this is done through the console commands addspell and additem. Credit goes to odashikonbu for getting Console Commands to work in lua. (Console Framework UE4SS).

    Disclaimer:

Made this mainly as a proof of concept and for personal use (as I was getting annoyed with having to make compatibility patches for mods that add spells to vendors).

    • []I think this framework is fine for use in smaller load orders but, TBH, I think the community should wait for powerofthree or someone else to cook up something nice and not adopt my framework as the standard.

[]That being said if anyone wants to expand on this or make patches etc., you have my full permission.

    • Don't expect any more functionality out of this either, what you see is what you get.

      Format is below:

Use either load-order adjusted FormIDs (Not Recommended) or EditorIDs (EditorIDs requires Runtime EditorIDs (Console))

      To add a spell:

      ReferenceID~SpellID

      To Remove a Spell

      ReferenceID-SpellID

      To Add an Item:

      ReferenceID~ItemID

      To Remove an Item:

      ReferenceID-ItemID

      Example ini:

      player~madShadowSpellSummonDaedra

      AurelinwaeRef~madShadowSpellSummonDaedra

      AurelinwaeRef~WeapIronLongsword

Drop ini files into this directory:

      Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\NPCSpells

      Installation

      Requires UE4SS for OblivionRemastered

Extract the zip file directly into your "Oblivion Remastered" folder.

To verify it has been installed to the correct location, ensure the folder "SpellGiver" exists in:

      "Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods"
