🌉 WHY DID I MAKE THIS THING?

Listen, fellow word enthusiasts! As a translator myself, I've lost count of howmany times I've muttered "there has to be a better way" while digging through game files looking for that ONE perfect translation reference. We translators are linguistic bridge-builders, not code-wrangling tech wizards (though some days it feels like we need to be both).

I created this tool because I was tired of playing "Find That String!" acrossmultiple TES games. You know the drill - you need to check how "sweetroll" was translated in Oblivion before tackling it in Skyrim, and suddenly you're knee-deep in file directories questioning your life choices.

🧰 WHAT'S THIS TOOL, REALLY?

It's basically my sanity-preservation project that grew legs and started walking!I unpacked game strings using UnrealPakViewer, wrestled them into submission with UnrealLocres, and sweet-talked them into neat JSON files with CSV-Toolkit.

THE RESULT? A glorified word-finder that lets you search across multiple ElderScrolls games without wanting to Fus-Ro-Dah your computer out the window.

📝 THE GREAT RENAMING

What's in a name? Quite a lot, actually! I've officially upgraded from"Oblivion Remastered Translation Finder" to the more expansive "TES Translation Finder."

Why? Because like that friend who says they're "just having one cookie" andends up eating the whole jar, this project couldn't contain itself to just Oblivion anymore.

Now that we're covering Morrowind, Skyrim, Shadowkey, and more, it seemed onlyfair to give the tool a promotion to reflect its expanded universe-hopping

capabilities. The Elder Scrolls deserves an equally ambitious translation tool, don't you think?

🐍 THE PYTHON SITUATION

QUICK CONFESSION: I've gone back to basics. Those fancy portable executables? Gone like my free time during a deadline crunch. Maintaining them across platforms became my personal Oblivion Gate - looked cool but was actually a portal to stress.

So now it's PURE PYTHON GOODNESS! You'll need Python installed, but honestly,in 2025, who doesn't have Python? (If you don't, I've included some gentle installation instructions that won't make you feel like you're deciphering Daedric script.)
