Full background story:

Stella Castenier was a young Breton mage of the Mages Guild, known for her multiple magical talents. She had joined the Guild in Chorrol only a year before her death, but her instructors already considered her one of the most promising apprentices of her generation. She was bright, curious, and eager to prove herself.

When rumors surfaced of strange magical activity in a remote cave in the Jerall foothills, the Guild dispatched a small research party. Stella volunteered immediately. It was meant to be a simple investigation - measure residual energies, identify the source, and return.

Instead, they walked into a trap.

A hidden group of Necromancers had taken control of the cave, using it as a ritual site to harvest souls for their experiments. The Guild party was ambushed the moment they entered. Most were killed outright. Stella was captured.
