Slower Kiting - UE4SS

Mod Overview

Oblivion's combat is very floaty. This is exacerbated by how fast you can move in this game. You pretty much have to be trying to get hit, because just walking backwards is enough to dodge most attacks.

This mod offers a simple fix: it slows down how fast you can walk backwards with a weapon out.

With this change, suddenly dodging and blocking actually matter and combat feels a whole lot harder as a whole.

With this mod installed, the game now treats it as if you are "walking" when moving backwards with a weapon drawn.

• []Optionally, this limitation goes away when you reach 75 Athletics. (This is enabled by default).

  []At low Athletics Skill Levels, you move at about half as fast as in vanilla.

• All settings can be modified in "SlowerKitingConfig. Lua" (edit it with notepad).

Installation 

Requires UE4SS for OblivionRemastered

Extract the zip file directly into your "Oblivion Remastered" folder.

To verify it has been installed to the correct location, ensure the folder "SlowerKiting" exists in:

"Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods"
