Sanguine is the Color of Night - ReShade Preset - CYRODILIC

What is this?

Just a little ReShade preset I have put together for myself to improve general visual clarity, make dark feel darker (but not too dark) and really boost the impact of fire and blood on screen. Heavily inspired by the general feel of other darkness presets such as Dark Fantasy and Heart of Darkness. The overall feel of this preset is quite vanilla-like outside of oblivion gates and oblivion gate weather. In gates and gate weather, this preset is pretty aggressive, but not unpleasant. Blood really pops. Fire light feels a bit more life like.

This preset was designed with performance at the core, so it doesn't use many shaders and depending on your hardware should sap less than 5% of your frames. Make sure that you have either "Load only enabled effects" on in your ReShade settings, and/or that you are using "Performance Mode" found at the bottom of the Home tab in ReShade. Performance Mode does not reduce the quality of the shaders, only limits the functionality of the manager - it can safely be toggled off and on as needed.

Installation

This requires ReShade. Make sure this is installed on Oblivion Remastered. (Target OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe)

This preset requires the Cyrodilic Shader. Please ensure that this has been correctly installed for your ReShade installation before using my preset.

Download the "mod", extract its contents to wherever you have your ReShade presets saved. (This location by default will be alongside your ReShade installation in the game folder, it can be found in the ReShade "Settings" tab, and opened by clicking the little folder icon next to the preset name at the top of the "Home" tab in your ReShade manager.)

Launch the game, and switch your ReShade preset to "Sanguine Night", and you're good to go!

If for whatever reason, you like this preset overall but find the red/orange boost a little bit too much... In ReShade, the shader you will be looking to modify is "PD80_04_Contrast_Brightness_Saturation.fx" In this shaders settings, under "Color Saturation Adjustments" I would suggest cutting the values for red and yellow down by a third, any more than that and the overall feel of the world starts to become a little drab.
