📋 About This Mod
Sets Gold coins to weigh 0.0385, the equivalent of 1 Troy Ounce (the standard weight of gold coins).
For this tweak I calculated the weight of over 50 items against their real world counterparts, arriving at the conclusion that 1 real life pound can be reasonably estimated as ~0. 683 in-game units of weight.
This new weight should encourage seeking out light treasures such as gems, and bartering for items with better gold-to-weight ratios.
Or you could use a bank mod, I don't care either way.
Fun trivia: the animal pelts had to be ignored as outliers due to being way off from everything else.
Installation:
Drop 'Real Gold Weight.esp' into "Oblivion Remastered/OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/".
Ensure that plugins.txt contains "Real Gold Weight.esp"
Load order should not matter as this only changes gold coins.
Will obviously conflict with other mods that edit the gold coin item record.
