📋 About This Mod
Updated to 1. 2 by Posh AJ
Donations are welcome but -only- from those in a comfortable position to do so.
Replacers - no standalone versions planned.
Uses only vanilla assets so this should be compatible with any retextures.
Remember, each weapon has its own folder, so if you don't like one you can just delete its corresponding folder.
This was the hardest one yet. BY FAR. 24
The redesigns lean heavily into the somewhat stereotypical Scandinavian/"Viking' aesthetic for most of the offerings, as that look was rather lacking in vanilla. There are Alt options that lean a bit more knightly/fantasy adjacent if the Viking vibe isn't your jam. Most of the models are noticeably shorter and stouter than my usual takes. Because Dwarves.
Overview
Claymore:
Much thinner than vanilla. As you'll see with all the blade-centric designs, the guard section has been swapped with the pommel/tuning fork and reshaped to form a more practical hilt set up. This worked surprisingly well considering that the vanilla designs had no real quillons/guard to speak of AND using the old pommel as the new guard means each guard has some cool Dwemer runes sculpted into it by default and frankly that's just the dog's bollocks.
ALT OPTIONS:
An upswept guard and a guard with wider quillons for those who want something more longswordish.
Battle Axe:
Leans towards a Dane/bearded axe look. Default is double headed but a single headed option is available.
ALT OPTIONS:
Single headed and another double headed version that retains more of the vanilla style.
Dagger:
Reshaped to be more wieldy and useable looking.
ALT OPTIONS:
A more narrow version for assassins and a wider guard version for the knightly sorts.
Warhammer:
Loosely based on some historic Scandanavia depictions of Mjölnir as well as the axe used by Finnish god of thunder, Ukko, wherein the head of the weapon had a very interesting, unique downward curve to it.
