OREM - Oblivion Remastered Engine.ini Merger

This was made partially to fix some annoyances I have with ini tweak "mods", but mostly because I've been looking for a practical excuse to try some python.

AV software may complain about the file, considering it is self-made and self-signed. The source code can be found here, for the curious.

Please follow the directions below carefully — future versions of this utility will also contain error-checking to catch common mistakes in the usage process.

How to use:

• []Download and extract contents from iniMerger.zip.

  []Download all inis you want merged into the mergeinis folder, renaming them to say what order they should be merged in and the mod name. 00-Engine.ini comes with the mod and is the vanilla Engine.ini. For example, I use Ultimate Engine Tweaks and Lumen Remastered. Their inis are named 01-UET.ini and 02-LumenRemastered.ini.

  []Run iniMerger.exe. It will show the folder name, output file, and allowed duplicate keys - press Enter to confirm these, then press Enter again once the program completes to close the window.

  []Optionally, open the new Engine.ini file to see the output. Each line ends with a comment stating which file it came from, and if any files were overwritten for the particular setting.

  []Copy the Engine.ini file to the game's Config folder, shown below, replacing the existing file. COPY AND PASTE THE PATH INTO FILE EXPLORER: Oblivion Remastered does NOT respect non-standard Documents folder locations. Just clicking Documents in File Explorer will NOT take you to the right place if you have a non-standard Documents folder location, for example from OneDrive sync! If you don't see a whole bunch of ini files here, you're in the wrong place!

  Steam: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows

  Game Pass: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\WinGDK

  []Finally, right click the pasted Engine.ini file, choose Properties, check Read-only, and press OK
