📋 About This Mod
Adds random spawn points for Mythic Dawn agents outside of main quest-related events.
As per the Wiki:
Not all Mythic Dawn agents are dressed in the typical cultist garb. A large number walk among the general population across Cyrodiil and are indistinguishable from normal citizens. From there they are able to keep tabs on the goings-on in the cities and help progress the opening of even more Oblivion Gates outside major cities and settlements. However, after the completion of Dagon Shrine, these agents will attack you on sight, until Light the Dragonfires is completed.
Introduction
Mythic Dawn agents are one of the things that Oblivion did well—regular old townsfolk, who blend in completely, those you would never suspect of being enemy spies until they turn on you. The problem is that once you have dispatched all named Mythic Dawn agents, the cult loses almost all presence in the story until you go to Paradise, and the sense of danger, that servants of the enemy could be anywhere or anyone, is lost.
More Mythic Dawn Agents aims to address this!
Random-chance spawn points for Mythic Dawn sleeper agents have been added to every city and roadside inn. These "Strange Travelers" operate the same as the named agents of the vanilla game, attacking on-site after you have retrieved the Mysterium Xarxes, but ignoring you before that.
Due to agents added sharing the same behavior routines as their vanilla counterparts, they will no longer be hostile once the main quest is completed.
The spawn points for cities and inn interiors operate on random chance, with the spawn rate balanced to make the chance of an encounter common enough to be a cause for concern, but not so common as to be a nuisance. You don't have to worry about an eternally increasing number of enemy agents within the cities—enemy spawns don't work like that in Oblivion.
Cities will have two spawn points at 10% each, for a total of a 19% chance per visit.
The Imperial City has a higher density of spawn points (4-5 per district) at a much lower chance to account for increased density (8-10% chance per district).
Roadside inns have a 25% chance of seeing a Mythic Dawn agent.
Rural inns are normally only visited once or twice for their quests and then rarely, if ever, returned to.
Frequent sightings of Mythic Dawn agents at Oblivion Gates and Kvatch.
This helps match spoken lore via in-game dialogue. One example is repentant member Eldamil, who states that Mythic Dawn agents were at Kvatch, but the player never sees them.
KNOWN ISSUES (negligible)
This mod can create minor issues when running others that add more generic NPCs to cities. What happens is that multi-person brawls can occur when Mythic Dawn agents turn hostile
